Shakespearean Sonnet

A tiny piece of the setting sun;
Often revealing the hidden way;
Each one is one in a million;
Useless in the light of day;
A little reflection in your eye;
Many colors like orange and red;
Behind the meaning of secrets and lies;
Their crimson rays play with my head;
Sowed vindication in my mind;
Hiding behind the two faced mask;
Its friendly heat can be so kind;
Enemy of the iron flask;
Saving us from freezing snow;
Here comes rain, time to go.

Limericks

The man in the big ugly hat
was tall and extremely fat.
All of the time
would drink lots of wine
so was stuck and was permanently sat.

There once was a kid who would cry
Just sit and look up at the sky
he found a new dime
and made a new rhyme
Then left his old ways so he could fly.

Haiku’s

In a windy field
where wind carries all new life.
Grass is wet with dew.

Metaphor Poem

Poems are like rivers
which are string and col
winding desires.
Fish dotting “i”’s on the paper,
swim through the lines with new ambition.
Its cooling self
relaxing on a summer day
entice kids to play.
Each one is different
a new adventure,
to be had.

First Line/Last Line

My mother once told me
not to take things
that don’t belong to me,
that all men are created equal,
that it’s only right
to treat others the same.
But people aren’t nice,
people are naturally
evil.
I try to see the good
in war,
in money,
in nature,
and life.
But where does this kindness,
that my mother came to know,
root itself in the world today.
So I walk today,
with me head held high,
clinging to a hidden truth.

Lonely Stars

I wonder if stars get lonely?
I suppose during the day
They probably bet bored
They are infinitely spread out
People find company with seeing them
They are life makers

I am

I am focused and philosophical.
I wonder why people learn best through negative reinforcement.
I hear trees whispering.
I see a thousand angel tears.
I want my own theme music.
I am focused and philosophical.

I pretend to live in slow motion.
I feel my tail tingling.
I touch the face of time.
I worry im not fast enough.
I cry about fallen friends.
I am focused and philosophical.

I understand new movies.
I say love is overrated.
I dream about the future.
I try to run fast.
I hope my friends wont forget me when they leave.
I am focused and philosophical.
